Caroline is a 19 year old joined Kito in June 2014 after successfully going through the vetting process. Caro, as  she is commonly referred in the community, comes from a single parent household. Her mom works at a Cereals store. When she joined Kito, she had completed her Primary school certificate a year earlier but did not proceed to join high school despite performing very well and attaining 330 marks out of 500 marks in the National Examinations ( KCPE). Upon completion of training, Caro joined Pop-Up Nairobi along with three other youth at the time where she worked with team at the restaurant. Although she was earning a fairly decent wage and was even helping her mom, she had a passion to join high school.  Kito tapped into our network and helped her get a full scholarship to join high school. She is currently enrolled in High School and performs top in her class. Her dream is to join the university and become a lawyer in future. In her own words “I am very grateful   to Kito for giving me an opportunity turn my life around. I had lost hope but now I see a better future for me through education. I want to help my family to have a better life” Thank you Kito and God Bless You.
I am Joseph Kang’ethe, former youth at KITO International. I joined KITO on june 2014. Just got the information from a friend about the training, where I joined Kito got in the training and got interested in the IT sector. My main challenge was idleness in the community which was due to unemployment. Co-operated with Kito family  where was employed at Eco-safi under Kito. I got an opportunity  met with  pop-up Nairobi where I was  trained as a chef. I got the knowledge of preparing exotic foods, serving and use of courteous language to customers. I got nice exposure to different activities and places at Kito i.e. training at ACWICT about  ICT and knowing different places. Through Kito I got the best opportunity from DOMOGO which is a training am doing in progress.
